Joining the Dots

Next week I have a public speaking gig. Chris spoke at a group and was asked to visit another group. While they invited him, they said why didn't I tell my story.
I've been collating memories, thinking about how I share stories from my life for several months. I started in Obsidian. Then I began creating a Timeline in Lightpage where Neo, my Guide, has been helping me find the arc and pivotal moments in my life story.
Since starting using Second.Me, I've been importing all my Markdown files. Many of these have sat in Obsidian for years. I used various Chrome extensions to add notes to my vault. Many had unhelpful headings and, short of working my way through them, or searching on terms I could remember, I was never going to resurface most of them. But Second.Me is doing that for me. Each file being added is associated with other notes, or tags. As I work on my plan for my talk, connections are being made automatically, reminding me of words I wrote years ago. It's a massive help.
The import is a bit slow. I have thousands of .md files. But, once it's done, all those old notes will be accessible.
Yesterday, I started looking at old blogs via Wayback Machine. So much stuff I'd forgotten about. But some stories that I want to include in my talk. I copied and pasted a few key posts or passages. Second.Me joined the dots.
I was on the verge of deleting all my old notes - some have already gone on a one way trip. But the rest now live in Second.Me. And I mean, live. They're no longer languishing in a dusty vault never to see the light of day again.
